The rainbow flag - also known sometimes known as the gay pride or LGBT+ flag - has been updated to mark Pride Month. The new ‘Intersex-inclusive’ flag continues the tradition of the Pride flag being updated. Intersex columnist and media personality Valentino Vecchietti designed the new rendition of the rainbow Pride flag. The flag was officially unviled by the advocacy group Intersex Equality Rights UK in late May, but has since spread virally on social media.
Intersex people continue to be subjected to non-consensual surgeries around the world.
